Banned Patrons Information Page

If you’ve been banned from a venue that uses our ID scanning system, this page is here to help you understand how the process works, why a ban may have occurred, and what options you may have.

Scanning ID

Why am I banned?

The decision to ban patrons is made solely by the venue where the ban was issued. iDU Identification provides ID scanning technology to support venues in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all patrons. Each venue has its own policies and procedures around bans, which may be due to a range of safety, security, or even legislative requirements.

Can iDU remove or adjust my ban?

iDU Identification does not make decisions regarding bans, nor do we have authority to remove or adjust them. If you believe the ban was issued in error, please contact the venue directly. They are best equipped to answer your questions and determine whether an appeal or ban review process is available.

How long will my ban last?

The duration of bans is determined by the venue and can vary widely. Please consult directly with the venue to learn more about the specifics of their policy, including any opportunities for review or for having your ban lifted.

How does iDU handle my data?

Your privacy and security are our top priorities. Our system protects your information in line with applicable data privacy laws. iDU only shares data necessary for identification purposes with the venues you visit. For full details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

How can I check if I’m banned?

If you’re unsure whether you have an active ban at a specific venue, we recommend first reaching out to the venue directly for confirmation. If you’re unable to confirm your status with them, you may email our Compliance Team at compliance@idu-identification.com, who can check your status in our system.

⊗ Please do not send copies of ID documents, as these will be automatically deleted from our email system to protect your privacy. ⊗

Note: iDU Identification is dedicated to supporting venues in maintaining safe spaces. Our technology aids in identification and verification but does not influence individual venue policies.
